To meet Modis continuously growing pipeline of work, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join the team and drive our expanding business. The role is an immediate start, 6 months contract based in the CBD.

Senior Business Analysts must be able to demonstrate extensive;

  • Problem Solving: Lead, participate and support colleagues in the elicitation of business requirements - drawing on techniques such as brainstorming, workshopping, prototyping, observation or interviews, and confirm or report on results.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain close working relationships across the clients and our strategic business partner.
  • Technical: Contemporary business analysis methodologies including Agile.
  • Communication: Establishing and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships, communicate messages in a clear, concise way and articulate manner with senior stakeholders.
  • Duties/tasks
  • Duties include the following:
  • Developing subject matter expertise within a range of business domains relevant to the Clients and OCIO projects;
  • Draft business analyst artefacts and documents that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, problem tracking and sequence diagrams for review by senior staff;
  • Undertake project quality management tasks, including peer and quality reviews, of specifications and design documents;
  • Participate in project reviews, ensuring designed solutions meet business requirements;
  • Examine and organise requirements to record dependencies, relationships and identify logical sequences;
  • Identify potential issues or risks, track problems, suggest alternatives and escalate as appropriate;
  • Develop, in conjunction with business appointed business analysts (where appointed), gather business requirements facilitate, run requirements gathering workshops, draft epics and user stories;
  • Create 'as is' and 'to be' business process diagrams;
  • Act as project liaison point between project and UX team. Attend UX reviews and provide input into UX designs; and
  • Seek 'sign off' of agreed requirements and acceptance criteria by the business area, OCIO, and our strategic business partner.
