Job Description

To meet Modis' continuously growing pipeline of work, we are looking for a Project Officer to join the team to support and drive our expanding business. In this role you will be responsible for

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost control guidance to Program & Project Managers which includes the production and interpretation of timely and accurate financial results, budgets, forecasts and ETC's.
  • Regularly assess and report on project status, eg. cost, schedule, quality and risks.
  • Manage project risks as per the Risk Management processes specified within the PMP. Risks and Issues to be managed through JIRA
  • Ensure knowledge dissemination among team members and contribution from the project to organisational knowledge management system.
  • Review project status regularly and recommend corrective actions (for risks, issues, deviations).
  • Facilitate Program workshops/meetings
  • Document and drive the completion of project actions
  • Prepare project documentation
  • Ensure all documentation is under version control using Sharepoint

Skills Required:

  • A recognised Project Management certification.
  • High degree of stakeholder management experience - Executive Level reporting and communication
  • High degree of experience in project financial management
  • Expert proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience in project risk management
  • Experience in Earned Value Management
  • Experience in document management using SharePoint
  • Experience in workshop/meeting facilitation
  • Proficiency in JIRA
