Junior IT Support Analyst

Junior IT Support | 2-5 years IT experience | Northen Sydney | Permanent Role

Role Summary:

As Junior IT Support you will provide support to all functions of the Service Desk. You will be the first point of contact for anything IT. Triaging, solving issues and recommending permanent solutions to problems. The successful candidate will administer both the hardware and software system. This will include Laptops, Desktops, Mobile devices, Windows based servers and cloud applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for documenting procedure and projects being implemented
  • Raise any concerns in regards to breaches of security and assist the team to resolve the issue
  • Provide on site and off site support. Support application and fix hardware via phone or email
  • Support NetSuite ERP and Point of Sales Systems (POS)
  • Get involved and own IT projects. This will include small and large projects relating to hardware and software
  • Responsible for scheduling, monitoring, testing and restoring backups. Ensure that you follow best practice and report any issues
  • Manage the Active Directory for new user creation or disable account when the user leaves
  • Support desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile users. This will include both Microsoft and Apple/iOS based platform
  • Site openings, relocation and closures. This will include configuring hardware, setting up applications and managing vendor deliverable
  • Log calls, emails, user requests on the internal call logging system and escalate issues to 2nd Level or designated escalation
  • Identify risk and raise issues immediately to ensure that they get resolved in a timely manner

Skills and Experiences Required:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience, with maximum 5 years in IT Support
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or relevant industry experience
  • Retail experience will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience in supporting NetSuite and POS systems will be highly
  • Previous experience in Supporting Windows environment with Office 365 is a must have. Ideally with Mac/iOS Support experience as well
  • Ability to get involved and eventually manage multiple projects such as site opening and closure
  • Knowledge with POS Systems, NetSuite, Eftpos Payment Systems software, Desktop, Laptop, iOS/Android mobility devices
  • Demonstrated experience in Windows Server, VMware and business applications relating to operation maintenance and problem resolution
  • Experience with Office 365 support and administration (account creation/disabling/archiving)
  • Previous Windows based desktop and application support experience including but not limited to Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 and Apple Mac OS, Office 2013/2016
