Job Description

To meet Modis continuously growing pipeline of work, we are looking for Product Analyst to join the team to support and drive our expanding business. In this role, you will be responsible to manage the insurance or defined benefits offers that form part of corporate and retail superannuation products, and to assist the Manager, Product Insurance with meeting insurance obligations under the Trustee's Insurance Management Framework.


  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of superannuation products, specifically the insurance or Defined Benefits component, and be a point of reference for product queries from, and collaboration with, other areas of the business.
  • Support the Manager, in making improvements leading to enhanced product profitability, product simplification, product development, member acquisition and retention, and actively participate in cross-functional working groups to implement these initiatives.
  • Manage the calendar and implementation requirements for Corporate Super products.
  • Ensure that all procedural obligations outlined in Trustee policies are delivered by insurers and administrator.
  • Contribute to product development, including keeping abreast of market trends and developments, researching competitors, gaining market insights through external advisers.
  • Monitor the service experience and consistency across all insurers, and collate reporting on the operational performance for the Trustee.

  • Provide oversight of self-insurance arrangements, including reporting and compliance.
  • Have accountability for product change and standards adherence
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables, risks and issues, and measure and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide effective product and technical support in areas where you have subject matter expertise

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant experience and knowledge from working with large corporate superannuation funds or with a superannuation provider.
  • Knowledge of superannuation market essential
  • Must have experience with Insurance and/or Defined Benefits products
  • Should have experience with superannuation systems like SuperB
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • RG 146 qualifications
