The Project Manager has the responsibility to execute successfully a local project or a sub-project on time, on scope, on budget as defined in the RPIS, looking for project profitability improvement, ensuring quality execution and customer satisfaction. The PM will apply standard processes and escalate new issues toward his management

Key responsibilities

Project Manager is responsible for driving the customer project execution whilst delivering against the following roles and responsibilities:

 Execute usually large scale and complex OSS project and propose corrective actions using a standard Project Management Plan

 In line with PMBOK® and the Project Management processes, prepare Project Management Plans and project phase plans for the Projects. Propose for approval tactical contingency plans in anticipation of potential problems. Prepare resource forecast requirement plans

 Execute project, monitor and control progress against a baseline plan, look continuously for improvement

 Allocate tasks and priorities as needed

 Use the Issues Management System, provide detailed action plans of steps to fix and escalate issues

 Propose for approval corrective actions when not tracking against the plan

 Provide the necessary Project Metrics (e.g. Effort to date, Estimated Cost to Complete, Estimated effort at Completion)

 Ensure Project closing

 Report the PM relevant KPIs and milestones defined in the reporting via the Project Management KPI web-based tool

 Contribute to project reviews internally and toward the customer

 Provide standard project documentation in accordance with standards and approved by all relevant parties, collecting and distributing as necessary from and to contributing organizations

 Ensure compliance of resources with project execution and escalate any issue

 Assign tasks and missions. Secure task execution subcontracted to internal or external Service Centre (Service Team, External sub-contractor, Service partner, TAC…) according to WBS

 Obtain customer input sign-off of completed deliverables and formal customer acceptance of project completion

 Ensure that the project is delivered within the approved budget and profitability forecast

 On the basis of the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), manage the cost to complete and cost to control

 Always vigilant for Project profitability

 Contribute to cash flow and Operating Working Capital/QTC, revenue Recognition follow-up

 Execute and report standards according to RPIS structure and standards tools

Key Skills

  • 1 year of industry related proven record of successful project implementation.
  • 1 year of successfully managing Industry related Technical Project Teams in delivery
  • Past exposure to Commercial Management in relation to Contract and Financial Project Management
  • Proven knowledge of and strong understanding of Project Management Tools and Methodology.

Key Interfaces

Knowledge/skills/experience Has full knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide published periodically by the Project Management Institute (PMI)

  • Understands the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Cycle and how it forms the basis of the Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing Processes
  • Understands the tools and techniques, input and output model used in the PMBOK Guide
  • Knows the general structure of the PMBOK Guide so that it will be easy to retrieve information
  • Understands the PM Framework expounded in the Guide: Knowledge Areas, and Processes organized into the Process Groups (Initiation, Planning's, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing)
  • Understands the PMBOK Guide definitions of important Project Management terms such as Stakeholder, Charter, Scope, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Precedence Diagramming Method (PDM), Gantt Charts and so on
  • In particular, knows the PMBOK Guide's definition of a project ("a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result").
  • Leading teams in a multi-customer, multi-vendor, multi-technology environment
