Job Description
One of our premium clients based in Canberra is looking for a highly experienced and committed Project Support and Administration Officer
An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Officer to assist the Project Manager in managing one or more projects and in providing project and administrative support. The Project Officer will have experience in supporting key elements of the management projects, including support to project planning, project financial management, procurement activities and project risk management. The role will also include a range of administrative functions supporting the Project Manager including, but not limited to supporting procurement functions, management of documentation and contractor management activities. The role requires being able to operate effectively in the project environment with limited supervision.
Criteria
The following education, qualifications and/or experience are essential:
Past experience as a project team member or junior Project Manager
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong administrative skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
The following will be highly regarded: Industry certification as a Project Practitioner or Project Manager (eg: AIPM CPPP/CPPM)
Training in a project management methodology (eg: PRINCE2)
