Job Description

Role

One of Australia's prime businesses is going through a major transformation program. They are after a Senior Business Analyst in one of the project streams.

Experience on the following will be highly regarded

  • Previous experience in Wealth Management
  • Experience working on regulatory programs
  • Experience ideally working on remediation programs
  • Strong business skills with ability to act at liaison between data / IT and business teams
  • Preferable experience in previous migration projects

Accountabilities

  • Business analysis skills to review, analyse and enhance the business requirements submitted to ensure that there is a clear understanding of the changes required.
  • Liaise with the business, system SMEs, Service Managers, Application service providers and in some instances solution architects to determine the e2e system impacts for the request.
  • Engage with vendors, testing teams and delivery teams to finalise a total delivery estimate for the changes requested that meets the business goals and ensure that a single delivery manager is identified, and a release date agreed by all parties.
  • Gather, organise and synthesize large amounts of information from various sources.
  • Effectively identify and define business needs and problems/issues to enable a feasible solution scope to be developed.
  • Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope.
  • Assess and document the current state of business to identify and recommend improvements and verification and validation of resulting requirements.

Competencies

  • Previous experience in Wealth Management
  • Experience working on regulatory programs
  • Experience ideally working on remediation programs
  • Strong business skills with ability to act at liaison between data / IT and business teams
  • Preferable experience in previous migration projects
  • Significant experience in Financial Services supporting Senior Management.
  • A strong work ethic. Flexible in approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated individual, who displays a pro-active style, has exceptional attention to detail and an inherent desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, Microsoft Outlook is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • Experience working in project teams/ high pressure coordination role
