Job Description

The Company:
One of Australia's leading retail organisations.

You will be responsible for the scoping, planning and execution of programs and projects that deliver new technologies including business processes, systems and infrastructure for new initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with the business, delivery partners and IT to prioritise and coordinate the scoping, planning, building and embedding into BAU of cross functional projects that are deployed into the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects within the program to time, budget and quality
  • Manage the interdependencies between projects and other programs
  • Establish stakeholder management plan and communication framework
  • Managing multiple projects that are at varying degrees of maturity across the Group
  • Maintain capital/expense plan for the program, with regard to the budget managing actual/forecast for the program.
  • Build relationships with senior executives, while establishing stakeholder management plan and communication framework
  • Manage the expectations of business, IT and other departments
  • Promote opportunities to solve business needs with process improvement and IT
  • Establish stakeholder management plan and communication framework

Essential Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 8 years Project and Program Management experience, with an exceptional ability to develop and lead multiple large project teams simultaneously, including:
    • Ability to align project plans with functional strategy and approach
    • Ability to control, monitor and manage all program costs, resources and project health.
    • High level of detail required especially pertaining to quality
    • Ability to work with demanding stakeholders whilst creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Able to conduct solid stakeholder and risk analysis on key issues
    • Ability to clarify stakeholder needs and managing expectations to ensure the delivery of effective service
  • Relevant formal qualifications and certifications, or working towards same e.g. Cert IV, PMBOK, PRINCE, AGILE
  • Identifying and obtaining support or advice required for the planning, coordination and execution of work
  • Knowledge of financial models, especially relating to the project delivery and IT capital management
  • Previous experience working in a high-performance culture, with a strong desire to work at pace
  • Able to lead others to share new ideas, perspectives and solutions to problems and able to anticipate change and proactively identifying opportunities
