The Role
As the Service Management Project Manager you will be delivering a range of IT projects relating to service management and customer support to the business. As The ITSM Project Manager you will lead the implementation of a portfolio of IT Service Management projects and initiatives that span multiple functional areas and technology teams to optimise business performance. As the Project Manager you will coordinate directly with the process managers, product owners and SMEs to understand and incorporate multiple functions and user perspectives into the project and plan

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of ITSM related projects
  • Manage all aspects of the project management cycle
  • Co-ordinate with stakeholders and technologists to define and agree project scope, outcomes, requirements, schedule and resources: develop actionable project plans and project artefacts.
  • Develop and implement project communications framework to ensure well-informed stakeholders, end-users and technical staff
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, decisions and dependencies
  • Lead project team members to maintain the scope and schedule
  • Develop strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all aspects of project implementation
  • Manage vendor contracts and monitor provision of service

Your Experience

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience leading Service Management projects
  • Experience in leading successful ITSM project implementations in medium to large organisations
  • ITIL certified and strong knowledge of subject areas such as IT Services, Service Catalogue Management, Financial Management, Configuration Management (including CMDB), Knowledge Management and Continual Service Improvement
  • Project Management certification preferably Prince2
  • Experience with software development life cycle using an Agile Methodology
  • Proven experience working with both IT teams and end users
  • Excellent communications skills, customer focus and the ability to influence at all levels
