Technical Project Manager - Integrations

This education client is implementing an enterprise software system that will replace a legacy system and a number of satellite systems. The new system will be highly integrated into a complex enterprise ecosystem, using the Mulesoft integration platform.

The Technical Project Manager will work closely with 4 other stream leads under the direction of an overall Program Manager - the 4 other streams being Change & Communications, Analysis & Configuration, Data Migration and Cutover.

You will lead a team comprising Technical Analysts, Architects and Testers and coordinate the work of build and unit testing through a number of existing agile squads. The project is in flight with major deliveries in December 2021 and staggered over much of 2022.

The Role

The specific duties of this role will include:

  1. Maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers of services for architecture, design, development, testing and deployment.
  2. Drive the project plan for systems integration which enables and compliments the functional rollout plan for the system
  3. Manage key suppliers and internal capabilities to deliver on the project plan for systems integration
  4. Work with key IT Directors to ensure suitable support arrangements are in place and handover the integration points for support by the run team.
  5. Manage and resolve issues as they arise.
  6. At all time work collaboratively with the program management team, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of the project goals and transition to operations.

The Person

What you will need to bring to the table:

  • substantial experience in managing system integration for business-critical applications in a large enterprise using full lifecycle API management on a middleware platform
  • substantial experience in establishing and managing supplier relationships
  • substantial experience in managing multiple streams of work in a fast-paced project environment
  • an ability to engage and communicate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • excitement at the idea of working closely with a high-performing management team

A knowledge of the typical IT landscape at a large University or TAFE College, while not essential, would be an advantage.

A background in Management Information Systems, while not essential would be an advantage.
